You will notice that the dove is in the middle of the base.
Most all of the editions produced are as pictured above. This is
a variation of the original piece which has the dove on the
left-front of the base by Grenville. This variation began
somewhere in the 2E.

It was previously thought that only the 1E of this Bearstone®
was produced with the dove on the left-front of the base by Grenville.
However, it is now known that the dove extends into the 2E to at least
piece number 1099*.
